Research Assistant, E-Clusters in the E-Society Project
Salary up to £23,775 pa inc.
Fixed term for 18 months from January 2005
You will carry out the day to day administration of a project in ESRC's E-society phase 2 programme, a study of the spatial and organisational dimensions of e-business activity. The focus is on the digital special effects and animation, computer games and web design industries. The research will examine the nature of social and economic relationships between people and organisations in 7 localised clusters.
You will arrange, conduct and analyse interview materials, carry out a literature review and assist with reporting the research. As the project is based upon case studies, up to 4 periods of 3-4 weeks will be spent outside of London during the project period.
You should be a social scientist educated to at least Master's level with proven interview skills and a subject specialism relevant to the project. A confident, self-starter with excellent time-management skills is essential.
