Understanding Maths Phobia
The Dyslexia and Dyscalculia Interest Group
De Montfort University, Tuesday 7th December 2004, 6.30pm to 8.30pm
Introduction
The evening aims to bring together both staff who support Dyslexic and
Dyscalculic students and academics who teach mathematics or statistics to
discuss the issues of dealing with students with a phobia of mathematics.
Through facilitated discussions it is hoped that delegates will gain a

their degree programme requires them to use maths and how best we can
provide support.
