Hi All
I have just joined the DC.accessibility list.
As a freelance developer of (hopefully) accessible web-based software, I am very
interested in making the web content that my programmes produce more machine
readable and am keen to be able to present metadata relating to page accessibility.
I am based on a rural property (farmlet) near Kadina in South Australia - not so
far from civilisation that I can't enjoy a half megabit ADSL connection.
About three quarters of my work involves developing online database applications
for the public sector, the rest being the development of web sites for small
businesses, based on my constantly evolving content management system.
In addition to the software side, I do a spot of electronic development in my
meagre spare time. This is mainly focused on my long-term project of producing
a set of hardware and software modules which may be used as an aid to
independent living for those who may otherwise be on the borderline or just over.
I have lived in Australia for three and a bit years, originating in Devon, England.
I hope that I am able to make some small contribution to this effort.
Cheers
M
