Indeed I suggested ASCOUT in the initial private message. That's why
NDF2ASCII doesn't produce columnar output in the form Tim suggests.
ASCOUT does it already (up to 7 dimensions). There may be an issue
with the SPECDRE extension.
These tasks would be more visible in CONVERT than Figaro. I suppose it
was simpler to move the whole of SPECDRE to Figaro.
