True, but only for the non-Elect. I've had it explained to me in some
detail how it is that Calvinism's complete separation between salvation
and action does not in fact give everyone carte blanche to behave
however they like, but clearly my mind is not subtle enough to fully
encompass this.
This reminds me of the story of Ian Paisley having a homely fireside
chat (in his bombproof church, where they lock the doors when the
service starts) about pools of boiling sulphur and wailing and gnashing
of teeth, and a wee biddy pipes up from the front row, `But Mr Paisley,
what if you haven't got any teeth?'. No problem: `TEETH WULL BE
PROVAYDED'.
