What's the deal with the AIF library?
CCDPACK, DAOPHOT, CONVERT, PHOTOM, ESP, IRCAMDR and kaplibs all have aif_
code in them.
KAPLIBS, CONVERT and IRCAMDR seem to have actual AIF libraries.
Convert has half the routines kaplibs has (only uses ones that are also
provided by kaplibs).
IRCAMDR seems to have loads of aif routines that aren't duplicated
elsewhere.
aif_choic is in pisa and ircamdr but not kaplibs.
It looks like AIF was an old library shipped with ircamdr, and then
butchered by other applications.
Would it make sense to move aif_choic.f into kaplibs and remove it from
pisa?
CCDPACK uses aif_temp, aif_antmp, aif_asfio. As does daophot and photom.
Clearly some scope for rationalising this. [should aif be part of kaplibs
or would it be better to simply make it standalone and a dependency for
kaplibs?]
