In a bookseller's list of books for sale is the following:
The Mennonite Hymnary [includes "Befiehl du deine Wege," "Die Sach' ist
Dein, Herr Jesu," "Gott des Himmels und der Erden," "Grosser Gott, wir
loben Gott," "Ich bete an die Macht der Liebe," "Ich weiss einen Strom,"
and "Jerusalem, Jerusalem"].
By Hohmann, Walter H., Lester Hostetler (editors), C. E. Krehbiel (Foreword
and some hymn words) "Mrs. Rudyard Kipling," H. Elvert Lewis, Earl Marlott,
William Pierson Merrill, John Oxenham, "Mrs. H. E. Rawnsley," Douglas L.
Rights, et al ("Words of Hymns").
This was published by the Mennonite Church USA, and presumably Carrie
contributed when they lived in Vermont. Does anyone know more of this;
which hymn is hers, presumably her English version was translated into
German; did she write other hymns?
