The 2005 IEEE Congress on Evolutionary Computation (CEC-2005) will bring
together researchers, practitioners and students from around the world
to present and discuss the latest advances in both practice and theory
in the field of evolutionary computation. CEC-2005 will cover all
aspects of the practice and theory of evolutionary computation; topics
include but are not limited to: multi-objective optimisation, numerical
& combinatorial optimisation, machine learning, evolvable hardware, game
theory, DNA, molecular & quantum computing, bioinformatics, ant colony
methods, particle swarm methods, artificial immune systems, financial
applications, theory of evolutionary algorithms, differential evolution,
genetic programming, evolutionary robotics, creative evolutionary
systems, and so on.
CEC-2005 is now inviting special session proposals. All special sessions
are to be organised around a specific topic in order to encourage
in-depth discussions. Special sessions will be an integral part of the
conference. All accepted papers in the special sessions will be included
in the published conference proceedings. All special session papers will
be reviewed, and the review process will be coordinated and supervised
by the special session organiser(s). Details and additional deadlines
will be provided once decisions have been made on the proposals.
Proposals for special sessions should not exceed two pages in length,
and should contain the following information:
(1) Title of the session
(2) Name of the organiser(s) and their full contact details (e-mail and
postal addresses, fax and telephone numbers)
(3) Description of the theme and the topics covered by the session
(4) Motivation why the topic is both timely and relevant to the CEC
community.
(5) Brief descriptions of the relevant expertise of the organisers
(6) List of proposed reviewers for the session
(7) Expected number of submissions
