Description:
This is the first Audit Scotland report on the overall performance of the NHS in Scotland. It says that much is being done to improve the NHS in Scotland and some important NHS targets are likely to be met, including the majority of waiting times targets and targets to reduce deaths from cancer, heart disease and strokes. But the Scottish Executive must do more to demonstrate that increased funding and new ways of working are actually benefiting patients.
Best wishes
