Subject: Westminster Briefing: Domestic Violence Bill
I enclose details of our forthcoming Westminster Briefing entitled 'Safer
Communities: Implementing the Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Bill'
which will be hosted by The House Magazine on Tuesday 14th September 2004
in Westminster.
Participants at this Westminster Briefing will have the opportunity to
discuss the new initiatives in tackling domestic violence and consider
their practical implementation at the local level. Delegates will debate
with the panel the impact of the bill on community safety and also consider
the prospects for a lasting solution to prevent domestic violence of all
kinds occurring, whether perpetrated against adults or children.
We are hoping for a diverse a audience at this important event, and
therefore, I would be grateful if you could forward the information to
appropriate colleagues within your organisation, and perhaps also pass on
the details to other bodies who have an interest in community safety,
children and families health services, domestic violence/family law and
criminal justice issues.
In the meantime, should you/your colleagues wish to attend, please complete
and return (by fax or email) the enclosed reservation form at your earliest
convenience in order to GUARANTEE your delegate place(s).
Kind regards
Parvin
