GridSite is pretty close to a Wiki system (in fact, some may argue that
it most definitely *is* a Wiki system), and I have been thinking for
awhile how useful it would be for various bits of LCG/Grid experience to
be brought together.
The GridPP website is a treasure trove of information, and they have
rightly done a very good job of keeping it neat and organised. I wonder
if GridPP would open an area of their website for anyone within GridPP
to contribute content. If this isn't politically, administratively, or
practically possible then I can probably open up one of the GridSite
installations I have to act as an "open" Wiki for publishing the kind of
information Alessandra has just emailed.
Mail archives are OK, but really there is too much content which is only
relevant right at the time it is published. Trawling through mail
archives is painful at best, and often unsuccessful.
What do people think about this?
Cheers,
Ian.
