I found sun/32 in the docs package! It's back in chart [the one in the
tarball was empty file]. I'll need to remove it from the docs/sun tree at
some point.

Probably not. What format was .cat? Presumably, if you could find the .cat
file on the vax, you just need to run the ast2a, csi2a and nso2a commands
on the catalogues to create the ascii versions (which should be the ones
in cvs) and the makefile should convert them to binary on install.
ie if you have them I'd like to put them in as a last gasp before we throw
away the software completely.
