Thanks for everyone who has shown me their support.
I will not be doing anymore research voluntary for anyone and I as resigned today as Executive Researcher and my membership to DANDA, due to events what have gone on this forum and also other related matters.
a person can only take so much. I agree with Derrick, about the lack of tolerance towards my impairments by other disabled people who have no right to judge me.
I feel so let-down by certain individuals on this forum and feel so hurt and this has caused me to much pain and sadness at the lack of empathy and tolerance shown towards me.
I have taken 'positive-action' today that means that I will not have to experience this abuse again.
as I said I thank individuals who have emailed me personally and on this forum offering me their support, but I hope now others with 'actively-listen' and 'learn-the-lessons' from what has happened in my case and it's not repeated again. Remember you can learn everything about life' in reading books and I am not an academic I am a 'pragmatists'. You know the old saying that.... 'actions speak louder than words'.
My actions are to 'speak-out' with all my brothers and sisters within DAN who have the courage to take the on the 'real-oppressors' against disabled people to the 'heart and soul' of the Government.
I believe that 'direct-action' is the only way things are going to change for the better for all disabled people, because it comes from the grassroots disabled voices.
I will not change my views on this and will not be driven away from my own personal beliefs and views to FREEOURPEOPLE.
I will not change my mind now and I have taken decisions today, in my life, that will allow me to get back onto the battlefield with my brothers and sisters within DAN to activate to 'FREEOURPEOPLE'.
I and other DANNERS are not fooled by the continued political rhetoric by this Government and nothing is changing for millions of poor disabled people in this Country and across the global world. It's all about 'politics of greed'. As much changed since I heard these words at University, over 10 years ago, under Thatcherite ideology. 'We can dress it up with 'spin', but disabled activists do not suffer fooled gladly by all this bullshit rhetoric. Disabled people,in this very rich country at 'not' get the basic human and civil rights met to independent living and take from me nothing changing at the grassroots levels where poor disabled people are not receiving any health and social care service-provisions. All the public authorities like doing is playing paper-chasing games for the Government, but resources need to be redirected to the people in most-need. I myself have now been embattled for 10 years of my life now on this 'paper-chase' in getting appropriate diagnoses and assessment of my needs and careplans with all these public-authorities and I have been assessed as needing 24/7 supporting living and service-provisions, but after all this paper chasing has anything changed within my life, except for all the stressed that I have had to endure all these years and all the daily discrimination and abuse I have experienced? The answer is no, because at today's date I am receiving 'no' service provisions and have become more 'socially-excluded', for me 'daring to speak-out' and asking for these specialist resources to enable me to improve my 'quality of life' to my basic human and civil rights to independent living and my equality of opportunities with my career and education.
I for one am not be taken-in by the 'bullshit' that comes out of Blair's, Ladyman's and Bush's mouth.
The struggle to fight to FREEOURPEOPLE continues from grassroots levels and this is where I belong with my brothers and sisters. I am now going to get ready to 'refocus' my energies for this continued battle and go and put my armour on.
Take-Care
FREEOURPEOPLE
Kind-Regards
Colin Revell
