Larry
Are NAS a representative of adult neurodiverse voices?
I know for 'real' that they are 'not', but you are a councillor on this
organisation that are not representative of adult neurodiverse voices and
they patronise and abuse adults neurodiverse individuals.
I know this is a fact and real, due to my own experiences and this is why I
cancelled my membership with them, like I did with the Dyspraxia Foundation,
because I felt really patronised and felt disempowered with 'no-voice' and
felt they treated neurodiverse adults like children and these organisations
are obsessed with the medical model.
I don't know why you just don't engage in a dialogue with DANDA and get
yourself on the management committee yourself with other neurodiverse
individuals if you really want to change things, instead of 'twisting the
knife into the backs' of the DANDA committee members who are trying to
create a basic human and civil rights platform for neurodiverse adults.
If you 'joined-in', instead of criticising all the time without any
constructive criticism, then you will see that there are many members of the
DANDA Committee share your view-points and values and beliefs and you have
a 'common-purpose'.
As a member of the Committee of DANDA, in a personal capacity, I hold out an
olive branch to you in good-faith and I will put it to all the rest of the
Committee, that we arrange a meeting with you to discuss all the different
of opinions, to see if we can 'iron-out' all the differences, I don't think
the creases at that bad and we can all come to a compromise, but that's
your choice Larry.
Larry, I for one have always valued your input and have great respect for
you as a scholar and a gentleman with neurodiverse wisdom.
'Nothing about us, without us'
Regards
Colin
