MA in Human Geography Research - University of Sheffield
We have a funded place on our MA in Human Geography
Research, beginning on September 20th 2004. The course has
ESRC recognition, and will appeal to graduates with backgrounds
in the Arts and Social Sciences who intend to pursue PhD
research in 2005. The course has a broad ranging content that
includes theories of consumption and material culture, theories of
the body, local and urban governance, the 'crisis' of representation,
visual culture and geographies of development. Full details of the

The funding package includes a £10 500 maintenance grant and a
full fee waiver. The successful applicant will have to apply for +3
ESRC funding (or the equivalent from alternative funding bodies) in
April 2005.
The successful applicant will almost certainly have a high 2.1, if not
a 1st class degree.
