We have two hospital libraries providing a seamless and multidisciplinary "one stop shop" for UHL staff and students, Leicestershire Partnership Trust mental health staff as well as LOROS staff.
Now we're looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to join our nationally recognized clinical librarian team. Clinical Librarianship is a proactive approach to supporting Clinical Governance and the use of evidence based medicine in the clinical setting. By providing highly specific, quality filtered, patient centred information to clinicians, the Clinical Librarian becomes an integral part of the decision making process.
Alongside a first or postgraduate degree in librarianship or information science, you'll have at least two years' experience in a library or information environment and a sound knowledge of health information resources. It is essential that you have experience of supporting complex enquiries, searching and retrieving information via electronic and printed sources and good critical appraisal skills. If you're a skilled communicator with plenty of initiative possessing persuasiveness and assertiveness, you can play a key role here.
For an application form please telephone 0116 256 3530, 3387 or 0116 250 2786 during office hours quoting reference number 100/G/2786
