Ahhhh, I remember. There was a (non-empty) line of whitespace between
macros in fortran.m4, which isn't allowed. Obvious, really.
Especially as the error message:
% ../../tests/autom4te \
> --language=autoconf \
> --freeze \
> --output=autoconf.m4f
autom4te: freezing produced output:
autom4te:
%
even took the trouble to print out the problematic line explicitly....
But will I read the error message, eh? It took me rather longer to
work out the problem last time.
