i didn't realise that it had passed into more "public" hands and was now, more
or less, visitable.
a very beautiful part of the country, that Chevreuse area.
somewhere around there is/was an important convent, "Saint-Remy-des-Landes",
which has disappeared without a trace, apparently.
i don't suppose anyone has ever heard of the place or knows anything about
it?
