Perhaps an interesting point regarding residential searches is that after a
while you will find that houses in the same road or area as one you dealt
with only recently will be 'referred' back with the same issues being
raised. These are obviously quicker to deal with, but occasionally its
irritating that your previous careful explanation of why some site is
really not a toxic time bomb has not been noted and used to amend a
database or inform subsequent assessments. Buyers and sellers dont seem to
be impressed either.
In general basic details of requests for information on our GIS and summary
details of all site investigation reports received speeds things up
immensiely after the inital investment in setting the process up.
I find a marked differences in refferral rates to the local authority
between seach companies although its diffcult to gauge if this is a market
share issue or a difference in assessment methods.
