I have installed ox on my own Mac Powerbook X.3.
There are some peculiarities in the naming of things,
and I thought I could share the procedure for installing ox into the
home directory on a mac if others have the same problems that I had:
1.1) mkdir ~/ox
1.2) download oxbas330.zip, and oxdev332.zip to this directory
and unzip these in ~/ox. You don't want to unzip at ~/ox, this will
create a mess.
2.1) create directory ~/ox/bin
2.2) download oxosx332.zip to this directory and unzip it here
3.1) open ~/ox/bin/oxl with an editor and make sure that it sets
OXHOME="$HOME/ox".
3.2) chmod +x ~/ox/bin/oxl
3.3) chmod +x ~/ox/bin/oxl.bin
4.1) sudo mkdir /usr/local/lib/ox-3.30
4.2) sudo mkdir /usr/local/lib/ox-3.30/bin
4.3) sudo ln -s ~/ox/bin/oxl.3.3.2.dylib
/usr/local/lib/ox-3.30/bin/oxl.3.dylib
4.comment) This is necessary since this reference is hardcoded into
oxl.bin, even if oxl.bin is of the 3.3.2 version and the link
is into the ox-3.30 directory. This must be a bug.
