Hi there,
As I continue to put more photographs in the gallery of library photographs,
in my free time, that were taken during the research project for the first
edition of "Library World Records" I have received some requests regarding
using the photographs for personal or commercial use.
First of all. I do not plan to ask for fees "for the set of photographs" I
have uploaded on the "Library World Records" website at
http://www.lwrw.com/photographs.htm
I only ask that an e-mail be sent to me regarding permission to use any of
the photographs, and that underneath each photograph used, is the copyright
symbol © and the words: Godfrey Oswald, Library World Records .
A librarian in Canada noted the many photographs are very clear, well this
is because I used Adobe Photoshop to tweak the photographs and the resulting
JPEGs are thus high in resolution. I took just over 193 or so photographs
(including ones taken for my current research) in total.
At the monent, I cannot put most of these photographs on the web for
viewing, however, I will be making a list of all photographs of libraries,
bookstores and manuscripts in my collection shortly on the website.
In the mean time, enjoy the ones I have uploaded so far. All of the rest
of the photographs I took, plus dozens more sent in from librarians and
individuals around the world are in the book itself.
N.B. do note that even though some of the photographs are small in
dimensions, because the high quality of the photographs, it means some of
the JPEGs are close to 700 KB, only broadband Internet connections will
allow them to seen in seconds.
