Description: The International Studies Association (ISA) is an international professional organisation which was founded in 1959 and seeks to promote the study of all areas of international relations. Its paper archive provides free access to the full text of many of the papers from its annual conferences from 2000 to date. These cover all areas of international studies including: international security, international peacekeeping, NATO, globalisation, international governance, international trade and political economy, the foreign policy of individual nations, European Union enlargement and integration, international arms control and warfare.

Description: Hong Kong University Theses Online provides free information about more than 10,000 phd, doctoral and higher degree theses submitted to Hong Kong University from 1941 to the current day. Many of the earlier titles, only offer bibliographical details but a growing number of recent theses are offered in full text pdf format. All areas of the science, social sciences and humanities are covered. The database may be searched by author, title or keyword. All information is in English. Important subjects include: the history of Hong Kong, China - economy, history and culture, the hand over of Hong Kong to the Chinese government and Asian economics, politics and social life.

Description: This is the online version of the Handbook of Latin American and Caribbean Studies which is produced by the University of London Institute of Latin American Studies. It provides a searchable database of resources relating to Latin American research in the Uk. This includes a directory of degree courses, notable academics and a searchable listing of completed and ongoing Phd dissertations. These cover all nations of the region including: Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Southern Cone, Venezuela, Ecuador, Cuba, Columbia and Honduras. All subject areas of the humanities and social sciences are covered. These include politics, international relations, history, development studies, Anthropology, public health and economics.

EPIN: European Policy Institutes Network
Description: The European Policy Institutes Network (EPIN) is a network of scholarly think tanls and research institutions which focus upon issues relating to the development of the EU. The web site provides access to information on the aims, membership and current activities of the network. This includes access to full text working and conference papers published since 2000. Topics covered by these include: EU enlargement, the future development of the European Union and the Intergovernmental conference (IGC); the European constitution, EU economics and the Single European Currency (Euro), European parliament elections, the European Convention and European integration. The site also includes a discussion forum and a useful collection of links to EU think tanks in Europe

Description: This is an official web site which provides information on standardization work being carried out within Europe to achieve the targets of the European Commission's eEurope Action Plan. It includes information about the work of the main technical standards bodies: CEN - the European Committee for Standardization, CENELEC - the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization, ETSI - the European Telecommunications Standards Institute. It includes background information on the development of an Information Society in Europe, press releases, calendars of forthcoming events and the full text of established codes and standards. Areas of concern include: electronic commerce and electronic government.
