The Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG) is the leading charity campaigning
for the end of poverty among children and young people in the UK.
Following a review of our purpose and objectives, CPAG is committed to the
development and expansion of our already high profile research and policy
work. The next stage of this development is to recruit a Policy and
Research Officer to our newly formed Policy and Research team.
The position is full-time. Salary: Ł22,964 – Ł26,401 depending on
experience (pay award pending) plus 5% pension contribution. This post is
open to applicants wishing to job share.
We are looking for someone to extend our policy and research resource at
CPAG on issues and policy relating to poverty, particularly affecting
children and young people. The post holder will play a key role in CPAG’s
current policy and research activities: raising awareness, seeking
solutions to poverty and influencing government, policy makers and the
media.
Applicants must have at least two years’ experience of social policy and
research work, the ability to contribute to the development of policy,
experience of writing to a consistently high standard in social policy and
research and excellent research and analysis skills.
