The School of Tourism and Leisure Management at The University of
Queensland, is a leading teaching and research provider servicing the event,
hospitality, leisure and recreation, and travel and tourism industries in
Australia. The School has a growing national and international reputation
for excellence in teaching and research and works closely with the
Cooperative Research Centre for Sustainable Tourism in Australia and a
number of influential bodies internationally. The School provides one of the
most comprehensive programs in Event Management at both undergraduate and
postgraduate levels.
In the role of Lecturer in Event Management you will provide academic
development and teaching in the area of event management and will have a
clearly demonstrated agenda in event management research. As well as
teaching in the undergraduate and postgraduate programs, the appointee will
also be required to provide higher degree research.
You should possess (or be close to completing) a PhD in a relevant area and
have good research publishing potential.The position is continuing,
full-time appointment at Academic Level B. The remuneration package will be
in the range of $67,859 - $80,582 per annum, which includes employer
superannuation contributions of 17%.
