County Durham. It seeks to:
• Explore and explain key issues of spatial mobility with older
people in poorer communities.
• Develop a methodological approach for integrating qualitative data
into Geographical Information Systems (GIS) within a participatory
research framework.
• Contribute to academic understandings of old age, spatial mobility
and social exclusion.
• Inform policy discussion and good practice in research and
consultation.
