CALL FOR PAPERS
Cohesion and Division of Economic Elites in Central and Eastern Europe. Budapest 4/5 September.
The aim of this workshop is to consider and generalise about research
findings concerning the recruitment, structure and attitudes of the
Central and East European economic elites. Alternative recruitment
patterns, unified and fragmented elite configurations and attitudes
with respect to the market transformation and the
enlargement of the European Union are to be investigated. The
workshop will discuss how far different constituencies of business,
commercial and government elites share common sentiments about the
consequences of transformation and European integration.
Prospective paper givers are invited to send a title and brief
synopsis of the proposed paper to the workshop organiser, closing
date 5 July 2004.
