Dear All,

We have places available for some of our workshops in June - 

Please note that it may be possible for you to join any of these workshops remotely from
your desktop and/or video conference. If you are interested in this option, you
can join all the sessions or ones that you may find relevant, but you will
still need to book as places are limited.

Friday 4th June - Using Proquest Resources in Teaching and Learning

There are a few places left for the following workshop for those of you that have
subscriptions/are intending to have subscriptions to Proquest resources:

The event is free and focuses on how Proquest resources could be used in
teaching and learning.

Thursday 10th June - Recrafting the Content: Creating New Learning Materials

A one-day workshop to show practitioners how to customize NLN (National Learning Network) materials. The workshop includes a demonstration and a chance to 'have a go', with experts on hand to advise. The purpose of the workshop is to show how to adapt existing assets and learning objects and combine them with a variety of resources to produce customized content that can be tailored to meet the needs of the learner. Time will also be spent looking at the pedagogical and accessibility considerations that must be taken into account during materials development and raising awareness of emerging standards of excellence.

Friday 18th June - Microsoft Project: Simulations

Have you learnt about the principles of project management? Would you like to
put what you learned into practice by creating a project plan by using the most
popular software used to manage a project?

This course is designed to teach you the basics of MSProject and importantly
allows you to apply the skills that you learn to either an exemplar project or
even a project that you may be soon working on.

The training is delivered by an expert in project management, who delivers
training and manages multimillion pound projects.

Monday 21st June - Making IT Work - Viewletbuilder, QuizGen and Elicitus Training

Viewlet Builder is screen-capture animation software that allows online demonstrations to be quickly and easily created. By building up a series of screen shots, instructional animations are created that are easy to make and easy for users to watch. 
This is a full day workshop that introduces delegates to the potential benefits of using Viewlet Builder, QuizGen and Elcitus and to show them how to use them to create online teaching and training materials.

Wednesday 23rd June - Dreamweaver MX: Creating and Managing Accessible Web Sites

This is a practical workshop for those who are users of the World Wide Web and would like to use a web publishing tool to create their own web pages and manage their web site. Whether they are new to an authoring tool, changing authoring tools or upgrading from older versions of Dreamweaver, participants will quickly be creating sophisticated web sites.

Thursday 24th June - Fundamentals of Flash MX

Increasingly, web designers now wish to incorporate more than text and static images in their sites. Macromedia Flash provides a means of creating animated and interactive content that is optimized for web delivery. This can include elements such as animated graphics and text, as well as more sophisticated applications, such as tutorials and simulations. This is a practical workshop aimed at web users who would like to start using Macromedia Flash to create animated and interactive content for the web.
