We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic professional to join us at
an exciting time in the development of a comprehensive Records Management
Service for Lancashire County Council. This new, full-time, permanent post,
based at the Lancashire Record Office and Record Centre in Preston, offers
an excellent opportunity to contribute to a number of challenging projects
being initiated by this rapidly expanding service and to develop a range of
professional skills.
You will have an honours degree and a recognised post-graduate qualification
in archive administration, records management or equivalent, a thorough
knowledge of records management practices and standards in a hybrid
environment and a sound understanding of relevant legislation and compliance
issues. Applications from recently qualified individuals will be welcomed.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and
effectively are essential to this post as well as the ability to work
accurately and under pressure. You must have experience of working with
customers and as part of a team, be self motivated, with good problem
solving and organisational skills and a general knowledge of IT systems.
