Higher Course in Statistics
University of Hertfordshire
15th - 16th July 2004
This course is aimed at those with a working knowledge of statistics
who wish to learn about or improve their competence and confidence in
using more advanced methods of analysing data, including
psychologists, behavioural, health and social scientists.
It is particularly suitable for those who have participated in one of
our Intermediate/Refresher Courses in Statistics (formerly known as
Level 1 Refresher Courses in Statistics).
The course will take place on the University of Hertfordshire's
de Havilland campus, a new state-of-the-art facility housing the
University's Business School.
The main topics covered by the course are:
*SPSS
*Revision of multiple regression
*The general linear model - ANOVA
*The general linear model - adjusting for confounding variables
*Introduction to multilevel modelling
*Logistic regression
*Factor analysis
*Introduction to structural equation modelling

Dates: 15th-16th July 2004
Course fee: 345 pounds including zero V.A.T.
Discounts are available for those attending more that one course,
research students, those on limited incomes, and University of
