There two big problems with using agency staff.
1) Their introduction makes more work for disabled people in having to explain their needs over and over again.
2) PAs for disabled people over time build up good working relationships whereas agency staff have no commitment.
I certainly would not allow agency staff to assist me. Yes agencies are a 'cheap option' that devalues disabled people. Often agency staff are people trying to make a fast buck and that is all.
