Two Postdoctoral Fellowships in Human Geography (Ref 874)
The Department of Geography, rated 6* in the RAE 2001, has an established research fellowship scheme designed to attract dynamic and promising researchers who wish to pursue an academic career. The fellowships are for a fixed period of two years and appointees will be expected to play an active part in sustaining the research culture of the Department and to enhance its research profile.
The appointments are aimed at recently completed doctoral candidates in geography or a related area who will benefit from collaborative ways of working and a diverse intellectual culture.
The appointments will be made on the Research Scale 1A £18,265 - £25,451 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. They are available from October 2004 onwards.
Closing date for application: 4 June 2004.
Interviews will be held in late June 2004.
