sets the whole thing *resonating*, not just with an echo.
in another life i helped Terryl Kinder do a careful measurement of that choir
and we were both reasonably astounded at how *precisely* the thing was laid
out --very, very small variations from one chapel to the other, all around the
corona.
there is a kind of "copy" of it in the parish church at Chablis --not too far
away-- but it is not nearly as carefully done and doesn't have nearly the same
resonant quality.
