Dear Physio family,
just joined the server list and wanted to introduce myself.
My name is Sebastian Cormier and I am currently finishing up my Msc in
Physiotherapy at King's College in London, Uk. I will be graduating in
October and then will try to find a job here in the Uk or in the US.
My greatest interest are in Vestibular rehabilitation and Spinal Cord
injury rehab.
I am currently doing research in the Oto-neurology department of Imperial
College at Charing Cross hospital. I am looking at postural sway and SVV
measurements during optokinetic stimulation in Visual vertigo patients and
further attempt to find correlation between patients with anxiety traits
and visual dependency. I am supervised by Prof Bronstein and Marousa
Pavlou.
Previously, I have been involved in SCI research at the Miami Project to
Cure paralysis, FL USA. I have been working with Dr. patrick Jacobs
looking at new cardiorespiratory exercise modes for SCI patients.
AS I mentioned before I am looking for a postion as a Physio in the Uk or
US, preferably in bigger teaching hospitals. I am looking for a hospital
with good in-service training and opportunities for continuous research.
It would be great to get into contact with some other physios in the field
above!!!!
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Cheers,
sebastian
