Business Benefits of Engineering Simulation - a NAFEMS Seminar
______________________________________________________________________

Thursday 22nd April 2004, De Vere Daresbury Park Hotel, Warrington, UK
______________________________________________________________________

NAFEMS, the International Association for the Engineering Analysis
Community, are holding their latest seminar in Warrington, UK, on April
22nd 2004, focusing on the Business Benefits of Engineering Simulation.

Simulation, typically by finite element analysis (FEA) or computational
fluid dynamics (CFD), is well established in many engineering companies
for product and process development. Tasks such as optimising products and
manufacturing processes by simulation are now well proven.

Nevertheless, there remains a large number of companies who are either not
getting the best return from their investment in simulation technology, or
are still considering investing in the technology.

The seminar will include presentations on:
• How you can increase market share
• An overview of managing the design process
• Guidance on the availability of grants and other funding options
• A review of the history of finite element analysis
• A number of case studies

You will receive answers to questions such as:
• How will simulation change my product design process?
• How can I assess if my product or process will be suitable for
simulation?
• How will I train my staff?
• How much will I need to invest?
• Can I receive funding for the investment from grants or other sources?
• What difference will the technology make to my business?
• How will I assess the return on my investment?

Who Should Attend?

Managers and engineers who are responsible for the development of their
company’s products.

This seminar will be of benefit to you if you are interested in saving
time and money by improving your product development process, or if your
company is already using simulation and you would like to assess if you
are gaining the maximum benefit from the technology.

Many seminars are hosted by NAFEMS throughout the year. These events
typically focus on the many technical issues involved in simulation. This
seminar will focus on the business issues, by showing how simulation may
be used throughout the design process to reduce costs and bring products
to market as quickly as possible.

NAFEMS Members can attend for free as part of their membership package
(subject to sufficient available seminar credits), and attendance for non-
members has been reduced to only £95 per delegate.

line.
