True - ish. Just be careful with nasal specula. They have no reservoir capability and there is no
relationship between the flow rate you choose, the intranasal FiO2 (which shows a pulsatile
waveform, as you would expect) and the eventual PaO2. I try not to use them. There is a rather
complicated Y adaptor from BOC that answers this point, but it's rather fiddly.
