Not sure to whom to send this Quick query given Brian's current status,
hence the general circulation. Any ideas please? Is it some installation
problem (GNS?), as responding ? to that prompt on a RH9 system at RAL
gives me a list of device names, and the PGPLOT version number is the
same as below.

question: problems with PGPLOT, valid workstation name
trying to run plt (starlink-period):
** OK: PGplotting slot number = 1
Graphics device/type (? to see list, default xwindows):

!! GROPWK - 3800 is not a valid GKS workstation type

?
PGPLOT v5.1.1 Copyright 1996 California Institute of Technology
!! GOPKS [307] (No Error message - Message not found)
Of course the problem is not PGplot itself, in fact other programs
using it (as - difmap - or - sched - (VLBI software)) work properly.
I presume the problem is at the interface starlink-PGplot.
Please, HELP me!!!!
Thanks Maria Massi
