Try pkg-get, and see the dependencies being downloaded, unless I was seeing
things! The dependencies are probably because the binary autoconf was built
with gcc and GNU tools/libraries.

And what's in make.log? You'll have to give me some clues, you know!
I'll have a go building on one of the RAL Suns tomorrow if I get a
chance. But I don't want to spend too much time on it, because that
seems less urgent than getting the system more complete on ix86.
