I run N6 on a 1 and 1/2 year old laptop. I have Windows XP, 512 MB of RAM,
in Pentium III with 1.2 GHz. I've used the program with more than 40
interviews of over an hour each, done merges and run all kinds of queries
and commands with no problem.
From what I know, if you will be buying a new laptop, these minimum
specifications will not be an issue. Current laptops being sold, even the
simplest ones, will satisfy these minimum specifications and much more. I
originally had Windows ME and upgraded to XP. Since then my computer has
never frozen with N6 (It has, occasionally, with other programs).
