Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Happy New Year! Welcome to DPI’s first e-update of 2004. I hope that
everyone had enjoyable holiday celebrations, and that this new year
holds many new and exciting opportunities for all of us.
This week marks the beginning of another new chapter in the process
towards a UN Convention on the rights of people with disabilities. The
Working Group is meeting in New York to discuss the next steps in the
process. This week’s enews includes summaries of the Working Group
meetings from January 5th – 8th. As each summary is received, it will
be uploaded to the DPI website. Check back every weekday for the
previous day’s summary, and keep up to date on the latest news in the
Convention process!

Nous vous souhaitons une heureuse nouvelle année! Bienvenue au premier
bulletin électronique de l’OMPH de 2004. J’espère que tout le monde a
passé des bonnes vacances de Noël, et que la nouvelle année tiendra
beaucoup d’évènements excitants pour tout le monde.
Cette semaine est le commencement d’un autre nouveau chapitre dans le
processus vers l’établissement d’une Covention de l’ONU sur les droits
des personnes handicapées. Le Groupe de Travail se recontre cette
semaine à New York pour discuter les prochaines directives dans le
processus. Le bulletin d’aujourd’hui inclut les journaux des débats du
Groupe de travail qui ont eu lieu le 5 au 8 janvier 2004. Au moment où
je reçoit chaque journal, il sera publié au site Web de l’OMPH. Alors,
visitez notre site chaque jour de la semaine prochaine pour trouver le
journal du jour précedent, et soyez au courant au sujet des nouvelles
les plus récentes dans le processus de la Convention!
