About the workshop leader: Dr Alan Maybury started his working career with Rolls Royce Motors in Crewe. After graduating in Engineering from Salford University he continued to work for Rolls Royce as a research scientist in their advanced research group. In 1971 he joined the then Leeds Polytechnic as a lecturer and progressed to Programme Manager * Industrial Systems. During this period he was responsible for curriculum development and widening participation. From 1997 onwards he represented Leeds Metropolitan University within the City of Leeds and the West Yorkshire region as Manager of the Foundation4Success Consortium. In September 2003 he joined the University of Bradford where he is involved with curriculum development in the Centre for Workforce Development which is part of the School of Lifelong Education and Development.
Objectives of the workshop: Participants will be enabled to identify the local need for a foundation degree; to develop partnerships between HEIs/FECs/Employers; to establish a foundation degree framework and to support Curriculum Development.
Who is the workshop aimed at? Academics and Administrators involved in or considering developing a foundation degree.

Payment will be refunded if notification of cancellation is received in writing within ten days of the date of the workshop. No refunds can be made after that date but confirmed substitutes will be accepted.
