Sorry for the late response - I've been away from my machine for a few days.
Vol 31 of the 'International Journal for Maritime Archaeology' carried avery
interesting appendix by Dr Colin Martin relating to the use of planning frames
for photography. Working in the underwater environment he was able to use a
bipod arrangement for the camera mount. the article concerned normal
photographic film photography, but the article also carried an extensive 'how
to' using Adobe 'Photoshop' - particularly with regard to 'reference points' on
the plan frame. I know that copies of the issue (31/1 I believe) are still
available through the NAS office at Fort Cumberland (£16 +p&p).
