Dear All
I'm going to set up some interviews with disabled user groups to try and gain an
insight into their experiences of using online resources, the problems they
encounter and the techniques they use to overcome these problems.
I am particularly interested in multimedia, as simple plain text sites are
pretty well catered for these days, although I do plan to ask some more general
questions too in order to put things into context.
Here's what I have so far...
1. Firstly, could you please outline any disabilities or specific needs that you
have and explain how these affect your daily life?
2. In general, what is your experience of using computers and how do you
overcome any problems that are caused by your disability?
3. What are the main problems that you encounter when using online resources?
4. What is your experience of using multimedia applications, and what, if any,
are the problems that occur when you try and access these applications?
5. Do you think multimedia applications are worthwhile for people with
disabilities and specific needs?
If anyone would like to suggest any further questions to ask, I'd be interested
to hear them.
Cheers
Tom
