Dear Jana,
You could check the very useful MarinLit. A marine literature database maintained by the Marine Chemistry Group. University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand. This database can be purchased via www.chem.canterbury.ac.nz/marinlit/marinlit.shtml
Besides, there are presently many review aricles on marine natural products, just check web of science.

Subject: first reference of natural products from ascidians
Dear tunicata scientists,
I am writing my PhD thesis on natural products from ascidinas and need
help in the search for the first reported natural product from
ascidians. Is there something like "the start" of natural product
chemistry from tunicates which is connected to a specific compound?
Thanks a lot for help,
Jana Barenbrock
