The next London Public Understanding of Science Seminar will be on
Wednesday 25th February, at the London School of Economics and Political
Science, at 4.15pm.
We are pleased to welcome Professor Justin Lewis (Cardiff University) who
will giving a talk entitled "How the news media inform and misinform the
public"

The talk will focus on the way people absorb information from the media. This
will involve a brief review of audience research in mass communication and
media
studies, leading into a disussion of his own research on what the media teaches
people about politics and society. The final part of the talk will look
specifically of the implications of this research for the public understanding
of science.
