Second Annoucement of the
2004 Atomic and Molecular Interactions
Gordon Research Conference
The Gordon Research Conference on Atomic and Molecular Interactions will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2004 to Friday, July 16, at Colby Sawyer College in New London, New Hampshire. The meeting returns to the venue of the 2000 and earlier editions.
The program will feature 29 invited presentations in four morning and five evening sessions. There will be poster sessions of contributed presentations after four of the evening sessions. The detailed program can be found at:
http://www.grc.org/programs/2004/atomic.htm
A web site at Johns Hopkins has also been set up, with the detailed program and concise information on application, registration, travel, and poster paper submissions:
http://www.jhu.edu/~chem/grc.html
The application and registration procedure, as well as travel details, can also be found at the Gordon Research Conferences web site <http://www.grc.org>.
The conference will discuss work covering a broad range of topics including reactive and nonreactive processes, intermolecular and intramolecular energy transfer, and photodissociation and unimolecular processes. Gas phase studies, van der Waals
and cluster studies, interactions at low temperatures, and gas/surface studies will all be included. Each session will have as a continuing focus the underlying molecular interactions responsible for the phenomena.
Support is being sought for partial travel support of graduate students and postdocs presenting contributed poster papers. Information will be provided when funding is secured.
Colby Sawyer College is located in west central New Hampshire, in the Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee region. There are opportunities for hiking, biking, golfing, and tennis near the campus. Details about the conference site can be obtained at:
