Honest brokers: how information staff can take a lead in developing an
organisation's communication strategy

Speaker: Jackie Lord, Head of RCN Library and Information Services
Jackie Lord will look at the transferable skills of librarians (especially
their expertise in knowledge management and information systems) and discuss
how information staff can take a pivotal role in re-focusing communication
policy within an organisation. She will talk from first-hand experience,
having led the cross-departmental Communications project for the Royal
College of Nursing.
Jackie Lord has previously led on the RCN Information Strategy. She is on
the British Nursing Index Executive and is a trustee of Partnerships in
Health Information. Jackie is currently Chair of CILIP's Health Libraries
Group.
LHCB evening meetings are free and open to all with a professional interest
in the topic. They are a follow-up to meetings held by IIS Southern Branch.
