It is great to hear that the library community is interested in Ingenta's
partnership with Google. Unfortunately the quoted source omitted the final
paragraph of the press release on the development.
"Ingenta has currently switched on full text crawling as a trial for a
handful of publishers, including CABI Publishing, Professional Engineering
Publishing, FD Communications Inc., and American Ceramic Society, and will
now be adding further publishers."
To ensure that the reliability and speed of Ingenta's services would not be
compromised by the full text indexing activities of the Googlebot we
conducted a trial on the content of four publishers. I am pleased to say
that this trial has been successful and that we can now confidently enable
the indexing of additional content. The Googlebot crawls permitted content
as it sees fit therefore the number of full text hits within your search
results will not be immediate but will increase gradually over time.

Doing a quick search on Google limited to the Ingenta site it appears
Google has not yet incorporated any of the indexed full text in its
database nor has it added all the ToC info. If I search for
'deconstructed' I get 8 hits one of which is from the full text of an
Ingenta Institute related page (not a journal). The other 7 are all from
either abstracts pages or ToCs.
A similar search on Ingenta limited to author/title/abstract gives 89
hits.
