Hi Paul et.al.
Well yes, in Godard's work in the late 60's on the sign systems are subject to a deconstructive investigation, he
recontextualises this system of communication into a more visual discourse. I think he tries to discover the ideological
underpinnings of written forms (ESSO=SS) but also shows us their implicit visual force, a kind of aesthetic of the
hieroglyph. Of course in our culture the super-saturation of space with language means that this system has more and
more become a mattar of design as well as one of semantics.
