Announcing the next DPC Forum - Digital Preservation: the global
context.
One of the goals of the Digital Preservation Coalition is to provide a
common forum for the development and co-ordination of digital
preservation strategies in the UK and place them within an international
context.
The 8th DPC Forum is focussed on developments in Europe and the U.S. As
so much progress is being made on digital preservation activities it is
timely to look at some of the major developments of interest to the U.K.
Participants will learn about progress being made on the NDIIPP Program,
the global file format registry, ERPANET, certification of digital
repositories, archiving e-journals and much more.
This will provide an opportunity to learn about these developments,
assess how they relate to U.K efforts, hear leading experts describe the
progress of new initiatives, and provide a rare opportunity for
networking with some of the leading figures from the U.S and Europe.
When? Wednesday 23rd June 2004
Where? The British Library Conference Centre
Cost? DPC members – no charge
Non DPC Members - £150
The Forum fee includes lunch and tea and coffee
