Dear John
Hope that you're well. Cybersoc is going from strength to strength
judging by the very timely material posted on the mail list.
Would it be possible to circulate this message (below) to the list?

Invitation & news on European IST Delphi
Dear Friends
First some news, then an invitation.
The news is that the FISTERA project (at http://fistera.jrc.es/) has
now posted several reports on Information Society issues, one I
coauthored being a scenario workshop report. ("Trends, Drivers,
Challenges" for Lisbon 2010.) Another recent addition is "ICT R&D
capabilities / Human Resources". And you can find a wealth of material
from this page, including reports on ST trends as depicted in various
national Foresight studies, a review of some existing scenario work,
and lots of links.
Now for the invitation (apologies for any cross-posting):
I would like to invite you to participate in a European Delphi on
Information Society Technologies. The Delphi is part of the FISTERA
activities and is quite unlike any delphi we've seen before. It is
designed specifically to consider the extent to which ISTs and
associated applications can assist in advancing towards the Lisbon
Objectives. So far most of the feedback on it has been very positive,
with only one person finding it completely against her ways of thinking
through the issues.
The access link (also on the FISTERA page) is:
http://www.calibrum.com/surveyletxp/takesurvey.asp?surveycode=4 633QCLU8
The first round of the Delphi will be open for a few more days. Overall
results will be processed and sent to participants in electronic format
for your consideration and evaluation. If you have any questions about
the Delphi system or preliminary results please contact
[log in to unmask]
We would be grateful if you forward the Delphi Access link to other
colleagues of yours who share similar interests on IST issues:
http://www.calibrum.com/surveyletxp/takesurvey.asp?surveycode=4 633QCLU8
FISTERA aims to gather and share knowledge and views in relation to the
future of Information Society Technologies (ISTs) in Europe in the
period to 2010 and beyond.
Many thanks in advance for your collaboration,
Best regards,
Ian Miles
